Newsflash – video content is not going anywhere and if you haven’t created your first Reel yet…well, now is the time.
Video is consistently the #1 thing Instagram is prioritizing right now in the Algorithm and if you want to grow by 10k+ followers at a time rather than a few dozen, you’re going to have to start creating content that follows this new system.
The great news is – you don’t have to be a professional video editor to make viral video content on Instagram, and in this blog, I’m breaking down my process for easy, consistent video content you can batch create – without all the stress.
This is my proven strategy so you can start to create consistent video content on Instagram, grow by the tens of thousands and finally see the social media growth you’ve been looking for.
I firmly believe video content does NOT have to be intimidating, so in this blog I’m going to give you the exact process we use internally at BossBabe so you can replicate it and use it on your account, too.
Okay, are you ready? Then, let’s dive in.
Step 1: Find Your Niche
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of content batching, let’s talk about the process for creating video content in the first place. And that process starts with something really foundational – picking your niche.
Now, you might be wondering what your niche has to do with Instagram. The answer? Well…pretty much everything.
Your niche is important because – contrary to popular belief – you don’t just want to attract more and more followers on Instagram. You want to attract TARGETED followers.
Why? Because those followers are the ones that are monetizable.
It would be better for you to have 1,000 really targeted followers who engage with your content than 10,000 followers who are all over the place in terms of their goals and needs. The 1,000 targeted followers are more likely to buy from you and boost your content than the 10,000 ever will be.
But the thing is – a lot of people make this mistake. They just keep growing and growing on Instagram, creating content that’s all over the place – and then wonder why their launch totally flops or nobody buys their product.
The reason is that they missed the very first step – which is creating content that falls under your niche.
You’ll find your niche by looking at the content you naturally love to create and the audience you want to serve. Then, you’ll really be able to dial in your niche by paying attention to what content your audience is resonating with the most and creating more of it.
My only other disclaimer about your niche is this – your niche doesn’t have to be incredibly detailed or specific. For me, my niche is female entrepreneurs. That gives me the freedom to create some video content around my day-to-day life and other content around running a business or growing on social media. It needs to be focused, but it can also be multi-dimensional so you give yourself room to grow rather than limiting what you can create.

Step 2: Research Top-Performing Video Content In Your Niche
Once you’ve identified your niche, you’re going to need to research the best-performing content in your niche. I always recommend following other accounts in your space and then watching what content they create that does really well.
If you notice a lot of the accounts in your space using one specific sound or trend on Instagram Reels, you’re going to want to do that too because that means it’s resonating with your ideal audience.
Paying attention to this is going to be one of the key things so you can end up with content that is more likely to go viral and attract the types of followers you want in the quantities you’re going to feel really happy with.
Step 3: Batch 30 Days Of Content For Your Instagram
And then the last part of the process is to batch create 30 – yes 30 – Reels at once so you can post one every day.
Now, I know that’s going to feel like a LOT so what I’ve done is I created an entire, free 30 Days Of Content Guide that I’ve linked here to give you ideas for every day of the month.
But let me calm your nerves a little bit. Reels are not long. And the Reels that perform the best are actually clear, concise and not heavily edited. That type of content does way better than high-production, lengthy content in this specific medium.
Focus on creating content that is intriguing in the first few seconds and then gets to the point. If it feels valuable, your viewers are going to ultimately follow your account for more content rather than just scroll on by to the next entertaining Reel.
And that’s another thing – your Reels don’t have to be serious and professional all the time either. Strike a balance between being entertaining and educational. That’s where you’ll find your top-performing content just about every time.
This is your chance to “Flex your creative muscle” …if you are new to making videos, it will be hard at first, I totally get it. The important thing is being consistent because the more you do it, the easier it gets – I promise.
Step 4: Always Lead With Consistency + Clarity
Okay – if you don’t get anything else from this blog – I want you to walk away knowing that consistency and clarity are the keys to unlocking the Instagram Algorithm and making it work for you.
You don’t have to have the most high-tech, polished production videos. You don’t need to be the one setting the trends. You just need to show up with consistency and make sure your video content is incredibly user-friendly, clear and value-driven so that your audience engages.
If you can do those two things – create clear content and create it consistently – you are going to see results on Instagram through video – guaranteed.
