We all have days when we don’t really feel like doing anything productive.

Don’t worry. That’s totally normal. Don’t feel guilty about taking a mental health day for some Netflix binging, a self care massage or a play date with nature.

However, if you have big goals and big motivation challenges you have a big problem. Here are some mastering self motivation tools to get your Bossbabe butt in gear. 

You simply can’t afford to accept your own lame excuses for why you’re not getting where you want to be. Give yourself some tough love because I have a hard core truth bomb for you. 

You’re always going to be your most important boss.

You need to be your own human resource manager, teacher, champion, coach, and cheerleader.

That’s right, pretty much everything is up to you. So, don’t go too easy on yourself as you don’t want to let yourself down. Here’s the deal, if you’re feeling frustrated or stressed, it’s probably because you know you’re not really doing what you need to do to get where you want to be.

Don’t write out a long-ass To Do list every day that no human could ever accomplish. Be ambitious yet realistic. Focus is the key to productivity.

Start with the Must Do’s

Prioritize the game changers. Pick just 3 big Must Do tasks a day. Part of mastering self motivation is focusing. Start with the scary stuff that could really fast track your success. Delegate the simple crap if you can. 

Remember Crazy often Works

You are going to need to go way, way, way outside your comfort zone to disrupt your status quo, get noticed and take big leaps forward.

Have a Sense of Urgency

What are you waiting for? The circumstances will never be perfect. Mastering self motivation means making bold moves ever day.

Trust Your Gut

Most of us know deep down inside what we really need to do. If it’s weighing heavy on your mind, them you should probably just get busy and get it done.

Take Smart Risks 

You’re going to need to try new things to get new results. It’s good to gamble so long as you have done your homework, you have a solid plan and you know that someone’s got your back. 

Be Fearless

You are afraid? Awesome. If you have butterflies in your stomach and you really have no idea what you are doing, that means you are on the right track. Consider fear a necessary adventure.

Aim High

You don’t want to set your goals so low you hit them every time. What fun is that? Aim high and celebrate your courage and progress even if you don’t hit the mark every time.
