LEARN TO MEDITATE | Sitting in silence might be hard when you're deep in hustle-mode, but regular meditation can be a powerful productivity tool. It helps promote a sense of internal ease and will train your brain to tune out distractions. Not sure where to start? WRITE IT OUT | Use the holidays as a time to reflect on how far you've come and to start making plans for the future. Spend a few minutes each morning mapping out your success route. When January comes around you'll be able to hit the ground running.

TAKE A WALK | Studies show that taking regular breaks actually makes you more productive. Going for a walk is a great way to get out of your head for a little. It gets your creative juices flowing, puts you in a better mood and gives your brain a much-needed break so it can work more efficiently.

TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS | Presence and productivity go hand-in-hand. A constant flood of notifications might keep you in the loop but it won't help you stay focused. Determine specific times to check your emails and social media instead of pausing your work every time you feel your phone buzz.

DARE TO MONOTASK | When you have a lot to do, it might feel like you're able to cover more ground by working on several things at once. The truth is that multi-tasking hijacks our stress hormones. This makes us less focused and less productive over time. Give yourself permission to focus deeply on one thing at a time. Set alarms or time-block out your calendar to make sure you hit everything on your to-do list.
